Our teaching is based on our own Heir Island Sloop, Theresa, with a maximum of three individuals at a time.

We are happy to work with all levels of experience from beginners to accomplished sailors.

At one point in his career Gubby Williams was Chief Instructor in a sailing school for four years and has been teaching people to sail or improve their sailing ever since.

 

 

Our training is sympathetic and individual; you learn by watching, being shown and having a go yourself. As an experienced and patient trainer, Gubby is happy to give those learning the time they need to develop at their own pace.

With training personalised to you and your needs, we can even give guidance on racing tactics if you’re feeling competitive!

We don’t hand out certificates or do tests, we simply teach you to sail among the many islands of Roaring Water Bay with its distant views of the Fastnet Lighthouse.
